Hi F,
here is a breakdown of each individual who did the work experience with iron man records showing what they did do from the list of activities.
most of them did it all but some only did a few of the activities and in some cases they covered fewer subjects but in more detail etc.
hope this helps demonstrate what i actually did with each individual.
Just for reference purposes, I am continuing to offer work experience at iron man records as part of my own ongoing programme of help and support........and my next placement begins 28th june so if anything else like this comes up again in future i would like to be involved as i have a steady flow of beneficiaries who i can capture for paperwork purposes. I also have two more placements starting second week of july. I have employers liability insurance an and a certificate from connexxions that i have passed health and safety and their compliance criteria etc
cheers

Dear Mark:
Hendricks gave you my CD, alt.mania, in his office. I'm looking for a UK label for my CDs. Below is my EPK, which has press reviews, pics, mp3s, etc. I just just named "Best Male Artist" by the International Acoustic Music Awards. I hope to hear from you. Thanks.
Hey sean,
i've played your cd and played it again and again. your music is amazing.
to be honest i don't know what to suggest as i've got no money and i mostly do punk stuff. do you know seth of dufus and the likes of jeff lewis? I've been trying to help dufus out and i pressed one of their cds but the sales have been very slow as they are based in new york and i'm in england.
what you after from me...??
just played last track and the messages again do i sound familiar? I could help you get some gigs in europe but i've got no money to do anything else at the mo.

because LARC failed to issue a cheque to Young and Lee as requested by the steering group see YOUNG and LEE letter dated 10th October 2004 and minutes of 03 02 2005 and I quote:
"Kate (Kate King: CEO of LARC at the time): - Kate asked about the situation with the legals and in particular, the issue of dissolving the unincorporated bmn organisation and the agm. It was pointed out by Anthony that once Stuart Price of YOUNG & LEE was in receipt of payment, he would initiate all outstanding legals. It was stressed that all other legal issues relating to contracts etc were more important at this stage. Kate said she would sort it all out and issue the monies to start the ball rolling."
....and at our many meetings and emails and phonecalls and texts including those of from 2nd March 2005 through to end of May and also
1st June, 2nd June, 6th June, 8th June, 9th June, 20 July, 21 July, 22 July, 26 July, 27 July, 2nd august, 18th august, 31st august, 6 September, 9th September, 23rd September, 28 September, 29th September, 30th September, 3rd october, 4th october, 6th october, 7th october, 10th october, 11th october, 12th october, 13th october and 14th october which is today including this email(I can provide documentary evidence to validate these dates and others if you wish)
Birmingham County Court has sent Judgment for Claimant in Default dated 24th September 2005 claim number ******** the following
"It is therefore ordered that you must pay the claimant £5389.41 for the debt(and interest to date of judgment) and £380 for costs You must pay the claimant a total of £5769.41 forthwith"
they have added a warning:
If you ignore this order your goods may be removed and sold, or other enforcement proceedings may be taken against you. If this happens further costs will be added.
With this in mind a cheque Payable to Young and Lee Solicitors to the value of £5769.41 should be issued immediately to reach their account by the due date of 22nd october or the judgement will remain on the public record and BMN ltd will have no option but to initiate further action against LARC. I warn you that BMN ltd has already sort detailed legal advice and our deadline of 22nd october 2005 stands unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
As you are aware there are certain conditions which we want to talk about. A document is being produced but is not ready at this time. If I can get it to you before Tuesday then I shall.
I don't think discussion of any documents other than those proposed for discussion by BMN ltd will have any opportunity for discussion until payment has been made to young and lee to reach their account by 22nd october 2005. However we will happily view and discuss any points contained in such a document but any signatures to anything legally binding can and WILL ONLY take place after our legal representative has read and advised us what to do on the matter. With this in mind it is in your interests to make immediate payment to young and lee and thereby avoiding any potential complication caused by further action taken by BMN ltd.
Having got that far BMN ltd would be happy to consider and respond to any opportunities offered to by LARC with regards to our future working relationship.
If we all reach an agreement the cheque will be given to you on the day. no, this is wrong. You will need to pay the cheque to Young and Lee direct quoting relevant reference details contained in this email.
I understand that on payment of the cheque the debt is satisfied and that it does not have to clear in the bank beforehand.
This is also wrong, the payment must clear into the claimants account by the due date of 22nd october and they must advise the court by the same day that payment has been satisfied. see advice below
The giving of the cheque is the acceptable payment. You may wish to check this out. not on this occassion, see advice below.
I hope this offers a clear indication of what needs to happen next:
1. LARC make immediate payment to "YOUNG and LEE solicitors" of £5769.41 by electronic transfer to Natwest Bank sort code: ****** account number: ******
(be warned that having spoken to YOUNG and LEE'S financial manager, a cheque will take 5 working days to clear into their account and any uncleared funds are insufficient to enable the clearing of any entries from the register by the due date. On this matter BMN ltd therefore requests that any payment made should be made by electronic transfer to the Natwest Bank whose details are above immediately)
2. YOUNG and LEE must advise the court that Payment has been received by due date of 22nd October, BMN ltd will also have to advise the Court that payment has been satisfied and request that the entry on the register is cancelled.BMN ltd will also have to supply the court with proof of payment. The letter from Birmingham County court confirms there is a fee to do this and BMN ltd will confirm to LARC what that fee will be. BMN ltd will invoice LARC for the payment of this fee.
3. once points one and two have been confirmed BMN ltd would welcome all positive dialogue with LARC on a number of issues in order to ensure a positive and constructive regularisation of working relationship between BMN ltd and LARC in order to ensure the successful finishing of the project to the satisfaction of all involved.
Please be aware that the staff and members of the steering group have all had to endure considerable stress, anxiety and uncertainty throughout this whole process and BMN ltd is furious that we have been placed in a position where our working relationship with the staff and all involved has been compromised and the staff's own working environment has been challenged. BMN ltd would like to offer the opportunity to LARC to resolve this issue for the benefit of the staff of the project, all at larc and all those who have interacted with us as a collective entity since the start of this project. In addition, I have yet to go through all the meetings and phone calls and emails on this issue and calculate how much money has been spent on this one issue - "to pay or not to pay this bill" when we all know (and agreed at the steering group) how important the work, this bill relates to, is to the success of the project itself. I'm sure the evaluation of this project will identify how much money has been spent ensuring our aims and objectives are met, and how much money has been wasted as a result of this whole saga.
I hope that the "Value added" achievements of the staff and the work of BMN ltd during the running of this whole project will at least make some attempt to balance the
"absolute needless waste of vital funds intended for the good of the West Midlands music and related community"
that has been initiated as a result of LARC choosing to delay payment.
There is no need for any further complication. Lets get points one and two achieved and then lets discuss how we can all get on with our work. We are all accountable and we all have a responsibility to deliver this project successfully, lets get on and do that.
cheers

I have just popped in to the office for a while.
Arrangements have been made to find Ted on Monday.
For Mark and Anthony......
Should a payment be made to cover the CCJ, LARC will need the assurance that Young and Lee do not have any other invoices, costs, etc which they might present in the future. When I added up the invoices it came to more than £5000. You may wish to get in touch with Stuart Price and confirm this. Would he be willing to state this in a letter. It could make the job easier. steve.

Ted is back at work today following the motor accident yesterday.
However, I have no news with regards to the "legals". I am sure he will give it his attention when he is able to....Steve

Mark and Anthony,
Ted cannot make the dates you were able to give. May I suggest that you let me have as many dates as possible for when you are available. Will need as many dates for next week as possible since that brings us up to the 21st.

LARC proceedure in action
Hi Steve,
after discussing the matter in some detail with ted, I have forwarded you some recent correspondence from Stuart Price. May I remind you that these documents were supplied to you on several previous occasions(see the email below), the documents were provided in paper format at meetings and presented to you at larc, and here they are again for you to read. I draw your attention to the opening few lines and the last couple of paragraphs. please read it carefully and give me a call when you have done so as i would like to ask you some questions on the matter.
I also need Ted's email address in order to email him some documentation that he has requested urgently.
please be advised that attention to this matter is urgent and that I feel that you may be obstructing the process. I just phoned the office to ask if Carol was there so I could discuss the accounts. I was met by someone who said Carol was on a day off and steve was out of the office if that was "sorry I've forgotten your name from Birmingham Music Network"
I find this offensive as I did not call for steve conlan, I called to speak to Carol. In addition to this, I don't like being lied to as I phoned you on your mobile immediately and you answered saying you were just writing something on carols desk. This means you WERE in the office, and you have clearly instructed staff answering the phone that you do not wish to speak with me and if I call they should say you are unavailable. Unless you can provide another explanation I will take this matter very seriously.
Today is friday, BMN ltd and LARC have court action hanging over them, you told me that carol was out on wednesday and that she would be available on thursday and friday. I am trying to resolve issues and you appear to me to be dodging your responsibilities. I would like a written explanation on this matter please.
cheers

Mark,
I will respond to this email, but not any further ones written in this tone.
Carol was off during the early part of the week and then needed more time off. Whilst I may be giving you this information in order to demonstrate that there is no conspiracy, who is in or out is of no concern of yours. The "someone" must have been Phil.I suspect that I was out of the office (but not the building) when you phoned and had returned by the time you tried my mobile. Think about it, if I did not want to talk to you I need not answer my mobile. your number is contained in it and I know that the call is from you. No instructions of the nature that you describe has or will be given to staff - what`s the point? In any case you were told that I was out of the office-not unavailable. I take a dim view of the fact that you say I am dodging my responsibilities. As far as I am concerned that is not the case. In any matter that would be a judgement to be made by my employers.
Please be precise as to what documents you wish me read and what passages, together with the point you are making.
Finally, you ask me to give you a written explanation and also to phone you, which is a little confusing....Steve
after discussing the matter in some detail with ted, I have forwarded you some recent correspondence from Stuart Price.

Creative City Awards
Hello all,
We are pleased to announce that DA Recordings has been shortlisted for The 2005 Creative City Awards in the category of ‘Most Promising New Business Start Up’. 2005 has been a pivotal year for us, and to be considered for this award is obviously fantastic. There are 8 categories in all and the eventual winners are to be announced on 5Th November at a gala dinner to be held at the International Convention Centre. The evening consists of the awards ceremony itself, a three course meal and entertainment. We’d be delighted if you would like to join us on our table at the event. Tickets are £25, so please let me know if you’d like to come and I’ll get you booked.
If you’d like more information, or have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards
Craig
HI Craig,
thanks for the invite to the Creative City Awards thing. Good news that Da Recordings have been shortlisted far an award. At the moment I don't think I want anymore information and I don't think I have any questions. With respect i just wanted to say that I whilst I offer my full support to DA Recordings and offer you every bit of luck in getting the award, the thought of attending the Creative City awards is much like the thought of someone squeezing cat shit into my ears whilst making me pass comment on their collection of "Birmingham skyline as an expression of our creative mind" photographs and playing me home made recordings of their own self styled URBAN BEAT POST POEM poetry. In fact, i would rather jump through the pane glass windows of the chambers of Commerce on fire than have to watch any of the city council lot attempt to recognise good business practice, recognise art, or award genius as this is something that they know absolutely nothing about, other than in the "unaware" category. I also have no desire to be part of their cheap evaluation that ticks their boxes but fails to contribute in any way to the evolution of our species.
However it is not all bad, I know that DA Recordings is clearly a winner with or without an award and that is why I have invested the last of my financial resources in you. I would like to take this opportunity to suggest that I would like to put the £25 ticket price towards taking you and Chris out for dinner somewhere where we can eat some good food and have a meaningful conversation without being interrupted by so called experts in the creative industry who no doubt will insist that they have supported you from the start once you have won the award and they have had enough to drink. Be warned that if you don't win the award, the ones who do win will provide you with some great entertainment as you will be able to watch them get harrassed by all the same people telling them how they have had their support from the start etc etc
oh yeah, the award thing is on bonfire night, are you sure you want to go? how about we buy loads of fireworks and go and cause some trouble?
cheers

Read this before you continue with BT Clickandbuy - a cautionary tale... My name is John Stell - i'm the director of www.tutorials-4-you.co.uk For the past 12 months we like yourself have used http://www.btclickandbuy.com/ as our merchant for the above website. Before we signed up and handed over £1000+VAT we asked several questions of what we were getting for our money. We were promised the following by the btclickandbuy sales team (this is an excerpt from an e-mail - confirming what they will deliver)... To briefly confirm our conversation. BT click&buy will introduce three payment options across your sites - credit/debit cards, BT Phone Bill (home and business) and online direct debit. BT branded service - additional assurances for potential purchasers (reduction 'drop off' rates). Dedicated call centre to take care of all customer billing enquiries and to investigate and manage any payment failures, cancellations, credit card charge backs Detailed and easy to access on line reporting (24/7) enabling you to monitor all revenue streams from all sites* Promotion of your sites and services to BT click&buy customer base Promotion of your sites and services on the BT click&buy portal PR and Marketing team will work on joint marketing and promotional opportunities internal and external of BT Dedicated technical integration manager at launch and for ongoing support and future integrations A reduced one off set up fee of £1000 covers all of the above (launch and on going) and the integration of BT click&buy onto all sites in your portfolio and any future sites launched. No other fees, annual or otherwise. I've highlighted the interesting bits in bold maroon - I don't know how your company has been treated BUT quite clearly BT have broken their contract (an e-mail is a form of contract)- firstly we have never had our website promoted to any of the 4,000,000 customer base directly which they say they will do in a year of being on their books! And the last one is a doozy! - No other fees, annual or otherwise - so we were in a bit of shock when we got the e-mail saying if we wanted to stay with BTClickandBuy that we would have to fork out ... ..This will be either £120, £100 or £80 per calendar month dependent upon your choice of opting for either a 12, 24, or 36 month term. Hey and let's not forget the VAT! So from paying no other fees annual or otherwise - we will now be paying a maximum of £1692 / year and at least £1128 / year if you sign up for 3 years! That's a bit of a difference don't you think? Now if you are one of the big players (won't mention any names but you know who you are) it may be worth it - BUT don't you think there is a principal here? How about delivering on what you promise - I'd like to think of myself and the companies I represent do that - and if we don't we would make some provision. As far as i'm concerned we made a deal - the deal was No other fees, annual or otherwise! It seems BTClickandBuy can promise you the moon on a stick and deliver what the hell they like! Were you miss-sold as well - I'd like to hear from you. Please pass this e-mail on to the most relevant person in your company. Several companies have already responded with their dissatisfaction. We know about this. This guy is causing me many problems. Our experience on the other hand has been one of constant support from BT.
Louise, can you do something about this?
Mr Stell,
I understand you’ve had a bad experience with BTClick&buy. BTClick&buy is one of several payment solutions used by my company D A Recordings to supply services to the music industry. You have been emailing MY CLIENTS, not BT’s, with your moans about the BT system. PLEASE STOP as this is damaging my business and I am already exploring my legal position here. Rest assured I won’t try and contact your customer base and let them know of your behaviour. Instead I’ll pursue this through the proper channels.

Hi John
There was no lack of common sense where this decision was made. Our main objective is to provide our members with a wide variety of speakers and industry minds that can empower them. We can't seem to be offering the same names and faces to speaks at events we are involved in, and we must offer diversity. This is not a personal ploy to annoy you, but a decision to expand on what we have already achieved. Since then we have put your name forward for the Music Live event seminar in November @ The NEC in-conjunction with AWM, MU, Sound Control, Clarion Events and ourselves The BMN. Which in turn is just as important if not more as it has a National Remit of attendees. So i don't quite understand where your coming from in your response. As you well know in this game to quote " you can please some people some of the time but you can't please all the people all of the time". Also can you give some indication as to when i can expect the rest of the Mentoring paperwork off you

Gentlemen,
This does not seem to be in Ian's usual language. Can I therefor assume that it is written by someone reflecting the official line of BMN? As I mentioned I simply wanted to state my displeasure and was not looking for a response, however this response has only increased my unhappiness.Probably best to leave it there but I would like to know who wrote this reply.Yours sincerely,John Mostyn
Hi John
It was written by me, and would like to stress that this is my private e-mail address so only i have access to this. John, i am a writer and singer of songs. So words are not a problem for me to express, especially when expressing fairness. As Project Manager of a Network therefore it is my duty to be fair to client and service provider both. I am deeply baffled i further increased your displeasure and can only hope we can bounce back from this. The staff and i have valued your services and are looking to utilise them further as stated "The Music Union event at the NEC". I am not going to fall out with you over this, as we are working towards further Music in our region. Lets just agree to disagree.Yours sincerelyIan Campbell

HI Steve,
thank you for the email,
I have just spoken to Anthony and he has confirmed he has recieved no calls from you, he has had no missed calls and you have not left a message.
Both Anthony and I will make ourselves available to make a meeting at 10am on tuesday 18th oct. Again, we have been requesting action on this issue since our urgent meeting on 4th August. I have been calling you since last week requesting that you spoke to Ted. You didn't get an answer from him til Wednesday even though I phoned you on monday and tuesday to remind you to make the call. Today is thursday, you have just told me that Ted now cannot attend a meeting on Friday as requested, and now both Anthony and I are rearraging our preplanned work schedules in order to make a meeting at 10am on tuesday. This is not a satifactory situation.
I have also asked you several times if LARC could arange payment to be made to Young and Lee so that any monies clear into their account by 22 october. You have repeatedly put off any reply to this question. I asked you upon receipt of the conirmation of court papers sent on 24th sept, I asked you again on receipt of young and lees letter of 29th September, I asked you again whilst I was away on 29th and 30th september. I also asked you on monday 3rd october, tuesday 4th october and friday 6th October. Today is the 13th October and again you have replied to my question with SEE EMAIL. I have read both your emails and you have not referred to this point at all in either.
I will ask again. Can you get the money to young and lee to clear into their bank balance by the 22nd october so that judgment doesn't remain on the public record?
The money refers to the outstanding amount mentioned in Young and lees letter of 29th oct and court judgment of 24th september.
I would also request at this time that you bring a copy of LARC's constitution with you on Tuesday as I would like a copy please.
Can you also bring a copy of the contract between Larc and LSC for the purposes of the Project as I would also like to ensure I have a copy of that too please.
cheers
mark

The money refers to the outstanding amount mentioned in Young and lees letter of 29th oct and court judgment of 24th september.
I would also request at this time that you bring a copy of LARC's constitution with you on Tuesday as I would like a copy please.
Can you also bring a copy of the contract between Larc and LSC for the purposes of the Project as I would also like to ensure I have a copy of that too please.
cheers

Clipboard Steve at LARC
Hi Steve,
after discussing the matter in some detail with ted, I have forwarded you some recent correspondence from Stuart Price.
I would like a written explanation on this matter please.
cheers

Barry Tomes is at it again
Hi Ian,
I got the sensa yuma cd through for proj 2 from barry to pass on to the band.
one problem point though.
I sent you the flyer for the cd ages ago on the email. did you not recieve it?
any packages that are paid for by BMN ltd proj 2 must ONLY contain BMN ltd related materials.
on this basis can you instruct barry(very politely and diplomatically) that he is not to put gotham promo materials into the packages UNLESS it has been cleared by anthony and myself first.
the packages must be focused on BMN ltd compilation and I do not want people thinking it is a gotham mailout with a free BMN ltd cd, it should be a BMN ltd cd, a bmn ltd flyer and thats it.
if barry wants to put additional materials in the packages then it must be agreed in writing.
ok, let me know if you never recieved the flyer on the email and i'll email it again.
cheers

You have been warned
Unaware adj Not Aware
Artist n. 1. a person who produces works of art, especially paintings. 2. a person who does something with exceptional skill. 3. a professional entertainer
Unaware Artists, also known as idiots, are everywhere.
WE (thats all of us except THEM) are at War with Idiots.
Some Examples of Unaware Artists at work:
People who call you stupid: are usually telling you they are stupid.... but they think that by telling you that you are stupid first, they hope that you won't suggest they are stupid as they "got there first" and you will think of something other than stupid to accuse them of. That way they get to feel like they are not actually stupid, but quite clever really.
People who work in banks: You walk up to the counter, the place is empty, three people sit at the glass window staring into space. you ask the first one if you can pay a cheque in and they tell you use to use the automated cheque deposit machine near the doorway, because its quicker. You tell them that by the time you walk back to the machine they could have processed the cheque. They tell you that they are instructed to make new customers aware of the service. you tell them that you are instructed to make them aware that if all new customers used the machine by the doorway they would not have a fucking job anymore and the bank could get rid of them completely and save some money on staff.
Security Guards who work at the Job centre: and where are you going? I'm going to sign on. No you're not mate, not here. What? this is the jobcentre isn't it? see those phones over there? you phone the call center on those, it takes 15 minutes or so, then they register your claim from two days from now. Thanks for that but I can't use phones, I have to speak to a human being face to face. No, use the phones, over here, i'll show you. You're a security guard, shouldn't you just do your job and be a security guard and let me pull this fucking phone of the wall, wrap myself in cable and then try and impale myself on one of the giant cheese plants growing near the Childrens play area?
People who make Death Threats: and forget to dial 141 before dialing your number after they get home from the pub pissed and then can't hang the phone up properly after they've said their piece leaving you plenty of time to listen into their conversations to other people you know on their mobile in the background and allowing the police and the phone company unlimited time to trace the call.
