Dear Mark,

Thanks for your e-mail.
As Hendrcks told you I am setting up a distribution and promotion network here in the Netherlands for independent and specialised Record Labels from the UK.

Almost a year ago I was approached by some friends in England looking for a distribution deal in Holland but no-one was interested and the distributors I spoke to didn't even listen to the CD. So, on the basis that there must be loads of interesting music looking for some attention, the idea emerged of distributing and promoting UK independent labels myself.

Holland has over a thousand Record and CD outlets. Amsterdam alone has over sixty independent record and CD shops, many of whom I have spoken to. The vast majority have been enthusiastic about the idea of promoting and selling product from the specialised British Labels, which are acknowledged to be the driving force and inspiration behind new and progressive ideas within the music industry.

We shall be starting in the New Year, and we'd be pleased to handle your CDs if you wish. I've asked all the labels who are going to work with us to supply some copies of a sample CD ( and make one up if they don't already have one) that I can take around the record shops with me before our launch, so if you could do that it would be very useful.
Regards
Hugh

Hi Mark

We exchanged some e-mail a few months ago, and sent me some music. Very rudely I didn't get back to you.

Thanks for sending the music, but the truth is we won't be handling any heavy metal as I'm in my fifties, and although I enjoyed my head banging days, there over now.

My apologies for not getting back to you.
Regards

Hugh
